SOFC - Setting Out For Construction - 2019

I began in career as a civil engineer in 2007 when I worked as an Assistant Site Engineer for Ufuk Yapi Denetim Ltd in Sakarya, Turkey. For a year, I was responsible for reviewing projects, assisting with the setting-out of the site . From 2008 to 2009 I provided services as an Architectural Quality Control Engineer at Bogazici Insaat where I (among many other duties), directed, supervised and coordinated architectural inspection and engineering QA/QC activities. 

I was recruited as a Site Engineer on many of their large scale residential and commercial projects between 2009 and 2010. These included a 42.000sqm development of 535 flats and a 19.500sqm 3 storey textile factory building. From 2010 to 2011 I was employed by Borough of Esenyurt in Istanbul where I provided professional services as an Architectural Quality Control Engineer.

After successfully delivering my services as a Control Engineer at Borough of Esenyurt, I took up the opportunity to expand my experiences through the founding of Guvence Yapi Denetim in Istanbul, in 2013. As CEO and Founder of the company, I was responsible for very senior strategic tasks and decisionmaking. I provided technical consultancy to building companies, managed subcontractors and assured health and safety on site. As well as this, I supervised reinforced concrete and steel applications in accordance with the project drawings and national standards. During my post, I supervised and audited four large scale commercial and residential developments in Istanbul. Following my relocation to the UK, I was employed as a Site Engineer at award-winning and London-based, Solmaz Ltd Construction in September 2019. During my short-term contract, I supervised and audited a 450sqm refurbishment and extension of 14 Montrose Avenue in Queen’s Park, London.

Then I decided to run my own company and I set up this bussiness to provide you my services.
